Princess Auto deal, "Globe" BR30 LED spotlight (8W, 650 lumens, 3000K, 25k hours, dimmable)
with photocell on/off, in-store for $3.06. Website says $4.83 so store price could vary. They were
recently selling for $5.99. Not sure how long the price holds. Lots left in Ottawa (east) store.

Seems to work fine. Keep in mind with any bulb like this, you don't have fine control over the
on/off illumination. Efficacy is 81 lumens/watt, not bad.

Pretty sure Dollarama has these (or similar) for $4 each - yes, bit more expensive; but no need to drive 10+ miles to get to Princess Auto if you don't live close to it.

Dollarama definitely has the Globe Dawn-to-Dusk A19 bulbs for $4 (800 lumens, 8W, clear filament) but I don't
see the spotlights around Ottawa.

Spotlight package says it can be used outdoors in "weather protected fixtures" but not recommended for
totally-enclosed.

A minor quirk of this BR30 bulb (or maybe it's a feature) is if it's manually switched off in dark conditions then switched
on, takes several seconds for light to come on. The A19 bulb does not operate the same way, it is instantly on/off.

Good luck actually getting anything labelled "clearance" from princess auto. I've had more than 10 items on multiple occasions get cancelled.

Agreed, any item on clearance being substantially marked down, especially
if for any length of time, runs a fair chance of not being there. That's why I
usually report what's in-store, at least at the time of visit. This specific
item was still on the shelf as of saturday.

PA is not the only case of this, have had the same issue with Factory Direct
and others.
