Princess Auto Branded Surge Protectors

Looking to purchase one for $12. Are these a reliable brand? I could spend an extra $12 or so to get the Cyber Power Brand from Canada Computers or Belkin from Amazon (Paid $12 last year). However this a good price and free shipping from Princess Auto.

Anyone heard of this brand or have it?

How important is the gear you're looking to connect to it?

Secondary monitor - brand new
iPhone/iPad Charger
Philips Hue Light - 2 of them

I won't be using all devices at the same time. Mostly the monitor.

Spend the extra money. It is probably fine but doesn't mention anything about any sort of warranty for your products. These things should be like your toaster, just plug it in and never think about it again.

Surge protectors are not too complicated, as long as its ul approved to the appropriate standards and has a decent clamping voltage and response time you're ok. That said, you get what you pay for so just treat it as a general power bar than buying for any protective properties.

Sure, why not. Everyone needs a good laugh during these times. In 10 years we could write a book about him.

Good call. APC is the only brand of surge protector that I buy.

Thanks. I will be getting the same brand to replace some of my existing surge protectors that I've had for 2 years now or so.

I like APC but the only ones I buy are the Tripp lite ISObar ones as they are much better built than the equivalent APC unit.

This is important. Chances are nothing will go wrong but it happens. A few years ago. had to order about 150 surge protectors, forget the name but it had issues with a couple of them. Contacted the company and they replaced all of them without any issue; a bad batch from the sounds of it. Paid a bit more but these were for use in a commercial setting.

Thanks again guys! :)

Did not know that APC has excellent warranty coverage.

Query, what's your take on the APC desk mounted USB C or non USB C surge protector? Little more pricier:

https://www.amazon.ca/APC-Protector-Cha ... 398&sr=8-2
