Was on sale, since last week. But compare to Canadian Tire, it is indeed good price.

Can this also be mounted in an unfinished garage? Like mounted to the 2x4 studs?

An unfinished ceiling would make it easier to install.

Just make sure you don't overload your joists.I'm pretty sure they'll give before the platform will.

If you're having trouble lining it up with the studs, screw some solid pieces of 3/4" plywood or whatever you can get and make some strapping. I usually do this when I mount shelving to drywall.

If you're mounting on drywall same thing applies. Rather than making a mess of the drywall, I anchor my strapping to the studs in a couple nice spots and then screw into the wood I put over the drywall. You'd use shorter screws for securing the shelves to the strapping

It looks like the height can be adjusted, but can anyone confirm?

You can put the shelf higher via the notches but you'll lose some storage space. EDIT: what she said below makes more sense. Overlap the pieces probably much easier/ how it's intended to be used.

I bought these similar shelves at CT for 49.99 and put the bottom and top half together separately (so I could get two shelves out of these). Then I mounted to wall about 5 feet off ground level. Saves ground space in the garage and these aren't too wide. Less storage space than the one in this thread but works out to about 35 bucks each for two 36" by 36" wall shelves

The vertical brackets are 2 pieces.. so you could use just 1 out of 2 brackets if you want it to be higher up. If you don't remove 1 of the brackets and raise the bottom platform, you'll have sharp metal corners to bang your head on if it isn't highly elevated off the ground above walking height.
Actually it looks like you could simply overlap the verticals to avoid having them below the shelf.

That's what I concerned about those racks, any idea how to find those numbers?

Bought two of these from ct a couple weeks ago. Returning them. With coupon this saves me about $80.
