[Princess Auto] Foldable workbench $44.44

Size in inches: 40L x 24W x 30H. Essentially the size of a small work desk.

Image

Note that there were one or two complaints of this not being suitable for heavy duty work, so don't expect to use anvil and hammer on this thing. Otherwise, reviews were generally very positive, with one person saying "There is no comparison to fold away plastic tables. This thing beats them hands down in stability and durability.".

At this price point there simply is nothing that can touch these. I searched around for alternatives and even plastic foldable tables were more expensive.

Even a pair of these is cheaper than most tables. In fact I bought a pair as a 'his and hers' for me and the boss to do our own projects on.

I dont really see the use of this, unless you really need to be portable.

If this folded up against the wall, and I could drop it down when I needed some extra space perhaps. But otherwise, you can just get some folding table legs, a piece of plywood and the same effect. (Course I guess cost wise that's going to be more)

This is cheaper than any comparable workbench, table, desk or what have you -- foldable or unfoldable. Being foldable is a nice bonus at the very least.

I have it, I like it. but I only have fairly small jobs. The cross piece is annoying as there is no where keep it when its folded

This is ideal, but the materials alone would break the bank lol

Agreed, wood is silly priced but I'd rather build something to last. But overall, unless you're sourcing used supplies you could never build it for this cost.

Looks alot like the same stuff my folding sawhorse style workbenches are made out of. Sturdy enough I guess.
