Philips has pretty much render the gen 1 hub obsolete. So it's really $80 for 3 refurb br30s

Just a heads up going into the Christmas season, the Gen 1 Hue has pretty terrible Green reproduction. This isn't an issue for most people because tbh, if you really need a bright green living room you'd better either be a Mass Effect strip club owner or blind, but if you are planning to use it for a Christmas display this winter, it'll be disappointing.

I fired up my two older bulbs and (as it turns out) my obsolete Gen1 hub. I remember that there were options in the app for color-changing displays but seems they are gone now.

These things were kinda cool a few years ago but even on black friday at BB they were incredibly overpriced for what they are.

Yes. I have a current gen hub and the three bulbs from this kit work fine.
