Are these kinds of heaters typically noisy? I am looking for a space heater, but not the noisy kinds with the loud fans.

They can still make buzzing/humming sounds. Depending on the person, that could be less bearable than fan noise. I was hoping someone would have experience with these models.

I do have this, use it when outside on the BBQ.
Can't hear anything on this, maybe a bit when oscillating.

2 settings, low and high.

I got it at similar price a few months ago.

I would recommend.

I used to heat my shop with one of these. Awesome heater and didn't cost a lot to operate.

I have one, great heat, no noise.
It’s effective up to about 10 ft away but if you leave it on long enough it can heat up a small room nicely, I use it in my insulated garage.

Although I paid something like $80 I think.

Would this help take the chill out of a small garage with the door open? Say, while working on a car, or another project?

Theyre annoyingly BRIGHT and emit this smell I cant describe at the moment.

My old man loves buying these space heaters and Ive always wanted to leave it on the curb.

I'm using this exact heater now in my home office cause I'm working at home.
It's a greater radiant heater for the price! It heats up instantly, is completely silent, no smells, and does rotate.

Bumping, for some reason it's been reduced further to $24.
Uh, yeah, I'd like to speak to a Mr. Tabooger, first name Ollie.

Bumping up...
but I received mine and noticed that the heating element tends to shut off after a while. Wondering if you or others have had this happen...

Now priced BTW @ 20$ online at PA.
