I think the same manufacture of this food slicer puts different brand name on and there all look the same as the one selling PA.

FAQ is wrong and isn't even for the same product as OP...

The Cuisinart one is indeed good for slicing frozen meat - read further in the actual reviews. The person answering the FAQ has no idea what they're talking about - of course you can't use it to slice soft meats - that's why you need to freeze it partially before slicing

Sorry for going off topic ... but does anyone know where i can get thin sliced beef (1/8th) like they serve at korean bbq’s restaurant (e.g. chakos)

I guess this machine can only go upto 9/16 which is pretty thick

go to TNT, Foodie or any asian supermarket. they have tons of thin sliced beef, pork, lamb in frozen trays
