WOW! Wished we have these prices in AB, $9.99 is the lowest I've seen.

That's a given, every RFDer is "expected" to have a PC Optimum account and be a member of every loyalty discount/rewards scheme, how else would you participate in the RFD deals posted on this site? LOL Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

Bought a dozen Sunday at My local metro for $5.99 each, each lobster was 1-1.5lbs. At under $5/lbs it was a great deal.

I much prefer the cooked lobsters to the live. The lobsters at Farm Boy for example, although a little more expensive, are cooked and packaged on the wharf. Definitely a nicer taste. I also usually pick females, for the roe.

Agreed; it's $19.99 @ Superstore in Calgary right now. Think of this deal as buy 1, get 2 free compared to here out West!

I'm in Dead-monton!!! Calgary <> Edmonton good luck w/price. People in Toronto complaints about High Living Cost / Expense, it's nearly the same in AB (used to live in 4th St Calgary area). $15 bowl of Pho, no wonder crazy line-ups @ DT McD & KFC

Yeah! We don't have Provigo in AB...Nowadays who doesn't have PC Optimum card... In AB there's only Loblaws/RCSS/No Frills/Extra Foods (small towns)

Even Vancouver T&T sometimes have Lobsters $7.99 BUT Alberta is completely a different story

So does Loblaws or real Canadian Superstore price match?

Why the website says "$ 13.61 (approx.) ea." while the unit price is 7.99/lb? This equals to about 1.7 lbs but the lobster itself is 1 - 1.25 lbs.

Loblaws no, RCSS yes - that gives me an idea to try at RCSS instead of driving to Provigo across the river, hmm ...
