PS4 HDD Upgrade

Looking for deals in the $80 - $100 range to upgrade the internal HDD. Don't really care on brand or if I have to rip open a external HDD.

Minimum 1TB but prefer 2TB.
Does RPM make a huge difference in load times?

I wouldn't say huge difference but it does make a difference.
For instance, in Overwatch, I can choose a character before anyone else can. I could care less but was handy for Sombra.

1.5TB external Seagate at bestbuy for 59.99. But please check to make sure the drive inside is ok to take out and use in PS4 before buying.

I bought the Seagate 2TB at staples and used a coupon. Cost me ~$90

Or you can get one from the source and use a $25 off $100 for email signup.

You need some tech skills that do this. Backup old data to a separate external HDD to avoid redownloading hundreds of GBs. Disassemble Seagate enclosure. Remove PS4 hdd. Swap drives. Download PS4 OS to a boot USB drive. Initialize new drive and load OS. Then restore backup. 6-8 hours needed for all that. PS4 can't be used while backup or restore.
Always in search of a great deal....

Amazon had the Seagate backup slim 2tb for $80 last year, hopefully the same deal this year. It's still working great in my ps4, highly recommended.

Are there any drives bigger than 2tb small enough to fit inside the ps4 or ps4pro yet? Not that it's urgent, but I'm sitting around 1.2tb used on my 2tb drive (which like other people is one I yanked out of a seagate backup plus that I bought at staples with a coupon).

The Source will have their 2TB Seagate Backup Plus for $100 on Boxing Day. Combine it with the $25 off $100 newsletter coupon and it will be ~$75+tax. You will need to find a cheap filler to push your pretax total to over $100.

Thats the one I got LoU remastered actually loads a lot faster, FF XV seems to be slow still but can't compare since i only started playing on the new HDD.
