Got the same email on 2 accounts today. :|

So is this just a $3 increase minus the credits?

I was paying $3 after $7 of autopay and referral/loyalty credits. So I guess I'll be going back to $6 total, that's a 100% increase and is totally unacceptable!! Lol

I think for $2 more, the unlimited incoming calling + unlimited global texting + 50 additional outgoing mins + 250MB data is better anyway, no?

You should switch to the $15 plan.
With your $7 discount, you'll be at $8/mo for:

100 Outoing Mins
Unlimited Incoming Mins
Unlimited Global Texting in/out
250 MB LTE Data.

My dad is currently paying $4 for the $10 plan and he rarely uses it.

Still have not used any of the holiday data and minutes bonus gifts.

No need for him to switch to $15 plan.

I'm well aware of the $15 plan, I have 4 PM plans 2x $15 and 2x $10 plans. These $10 plans are strictly for emergency backup plans, we never use the minutes, plus I have tons of data and free minutes accumulated over the years. It would be $4 wasted.

Forgive me if my question is a little off-topic , but I wonder why people want to have backup plan(s)? It's backup for what situation? For in case we lose our phone? It's the first time I hear/read about that. I'm curious.

One reason is coverage, my main plan roams on Rogers network (ATT) and with PM I get Bell/Telus towers

My “backup” line, so my drug buyers and mistresses can reach me….

Received same email. $3 increase to a $10 plan is a 30% increase. I've replied requesting confirmation for this steep increase.

In 2018, PM attempted to increase the 12GB for 90 days plan from $120 to $150. They reversed their decision after customer backlash and CRTC complaints.

Seems like a shady price increase. Had I known this earlier I would have got the Freedom Mobile $10 add a line promo

I suggest you all do your part to fight this. Normally any increase provides some improvement in service, they haven't stated much. 30% increase seems excessive, they can probably get away with 15%, but not 30%.

Telus similarly announced my wife's $10 plan will increase to $13 on May 1st.
I was thinking of moving her to Public's $15 plan as the calling and text limits are more liberal at Public and my referral would mean $13 net.
Somehow I wonder if other plans will also soon see similar increases.

I thought there was still a choice for now.
Plus I've been a Public customer for a few years. I'm not on points.
I can see where her account might have to be points.
