Free on PS4 in July when EA access comes to PlayStation
Except that EA access is not free; therefore NHL 19 is also not free.... on either platform.

Same with psn/live or trade 3 (or 2) at ebgames. People always say free when its not in any way

Not worth it to pre-order. Do what I did this year - waited for the game to go on sale to $50 at EB Games in late October/early November, then PM'd at BB. All-in came to $45, which is cheaper than the pre-order deal.

should listen to this wiseman
also when you get the game at launch there will prob be bugs and required patches and missing players
its better when you get it late if you want all the updated players in your franchise mode.
example Cale Makar and Ryan Poehling didn't get added into nhl 19 until just before playoff started
and if you are like me got nhl 19 early and play it for franchise mode you will have to remake a few times which sucks because in previous save i drafted a franchise lw with similar play style as wayne gretzsky.
Having to restart franchise modes is the worst. Especially hate when I get invested into it and then a big prospect gets added. Remedied this by creating them custom. Spaced it out over a few weeks, created 1 player everyday. Then had to take out some (Makar/Poehling/Broberg) after the last roster update.

Melting Ice Hot is as ambiguous as Freezing Iron Cold.

if you want to wait til the new one goes on sale, you'll never buy them anymore

You'll end up like me; the last Assassin's Creed I got is Black Flag because I always kept waiting for the last one to go on sale but by the time the price had dropped to a price I would pay, a new one was already out

Thankfully though, that curse was broken recently by Odyssey (which I managed to get at 19.99$ thanks to all you RFD'ers)

I was thinking that too, ice starts melting when temp is above 0 degrees Celsius...and that's not hot at all.

I pre-order NHL every year and it is getting more and more frustrating. For the first time since NHL 97, I didn't buy NHL 19 but I got it for free when I trade up my PS4 at EB Games.
I will say this, the game haven't changed a whole lot since NHL 15, and if you have any of the game between NHL 15 and NHL 19, save the $15 and go pre-order NHL 20. It is rumoured that NHL 20 will be frost bite engine, and yeah there will be crap load of bugs and stuff, but at least you will be playing the next gen of the game. The pre-order is still available last I checked. And worst case scenario, if you don't want it, just sell it on Kijiji......

Just my 2cent.....
I grabbed NHL 18 pre-used at EB Games for $9.99 Black Friday last year and I'm hoping for the same this year for NHL 19. I haven't bought a new copy of NHL since NHL 14 (skipped 15 cuz I didn't have PS4 at the time) and I don't play HUT. Always seems worth it to me IMO if I'm a year behind on an edition considering not much changes to the gameplay.
