Public Health RN Interview

Hey all!

Wondering if anyone’s interviewed for a public health job as a registered nurse recently?

I have a 1.5 hour interview coming up for two positions. Infectious disease and vaccine preventable disease.

I’ve been a bedside nurse for my entire 9 year career so far, so I’m quite worried about this interview.

Any tips? Pointers? Types of questions they ask? If anyone’s recently interviewed & can provide input that would be awesome!

90 minutes seems like quite the long interview for a PHN position.
My suggestion is to familiarize yourself with the principles of public health: health promotion, disease prevention, education, equity, etc.
Be familiar with the Charter for Health Promotion.

I anticipate they will be seeking someone who is well-organized, analytical and able to juggle multiple demands.
