Public Service Announcement:
PM does not have a call center. Supports are provided by PM Community Forum moderator. Moderator wait time is 2 - 3 days. Therefore, you may be out of phone service 2 days or more. With this in mind, if you are running a business or your job depending on a working phone. PM is not for you. Do your research. Ask questions before activation. Don't complain after activation because of the 2 - 3 days wait for the moderator support.

BTW, PM is prepaid service provider. There is no refund of unused days if you change your mind 1 day after activation. Prepaid plan does not work like a postpaid plan which has 2 weeks to cancel and owe provider nothing.

PM allows subscribers to connect to LTE signal capped at 3Mbps on their 3G plans.
Therefore, you get the advantage of Low LTE latency for fast response. The 3Mbps cap will ensure that you monthly data bucket last a bit longer.
The 3G plan should be renamed to LTE lite plan as the members on the PM community forum call it.

Only LTE connections are throttled to 3Mbps on this plan. HSPA network connections are full speed. 3Mbps on LTE is more than enough for web browsing, music, and even 720 video. Most people won't notice too much difference.

Dont forget, you can get a one-time $10 promo credit with referral from a Public Mobile friend. The friend who refers you will also get $1 off their bill every month for each referral (for as long as the referee account is active).
This does stack with their other deals as long as you're a new account.

Referrals are now special codes, no longer phone numbers

I joined Public Mobile from Koodo about 4 months ago. Love it. I have the same plan, but unfortunately didn't get it on such a good deal. The 3G is more than enough for me. I mostly stream music, videos and podcasts. I actually don't notice a difference from when I was on Koodo. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

This plan isn't for everyone. It's clearly for more than just the light data user. The $25 plan is still available for those who would find 1GB per 30 days to be enough.

This deal is apparently "to celebrate [their] new look", i.e. website refresh.
I dunno, I thought the milestone was worthy of a bigger promo. Maybe hoping for $25 referral promo was a bit too optimistic?

It's not too bad if that's the plan someone wants. The promotion that you speak of would definitely have a wider audiience.

Are people on PM still getting texts to switch to Koodo?
If it’s not at least 50% off is it really a deal?

I would relish a repeat of the $25 promo stacked with $10 off for 6 months.
Now that was a promotion.

I wonder if PM will do a big "wow look we fixed everything" promotion after they roll out all the changes. I mean, they have a new ticketing system, plus upgrades to Self Serve.

Who wouldn't? New customers would get their choice out of more plan options and the one-time credits would be greater. We'll just have to be patient.
