Not that overwhelming. The $35 plan at 1.5GB + 2GB bonus = 3.5GB ---- This is what it should be without the bonus.

If the bonus stuck then it would be something. But I guess if you were signing up for a new plan at PM, you might as well take it, even though most probably won't even dip into the bonus data (except for $35 plan)

Pretty underwhelming deal. Come on Public Mobile, you can do better than this. OP, how did you jump the gun on posting this deal one hour ahead of the official announcement. I call foul.

I guess this bonus makes the $35 plan somewhat usable for 6 months. Then off to the $40 plan. Another way of looking at it is this deal is worth $5 x 6 in savings for those contemplating getting the $40 plan. OP maybe you should reword your post this way.

I will just point out - this is online only, which means you have to have a physical SIM on hand (or the unactivated SIM number), so you need to order a SIM card and have it delivered before Oct25. Walmart will not sell you a SIM card and let you take it home for home activation. Other stores may sell you the SIM.

I don't disagree. This promo is for a $35 or higher plan new customer activation. So, the $40 plan wil get new customer 7GB for the first 6 "months" (actually 30 day cycles).

This thread was posted 9 minutes before the annoucement. It was on the home page, and then on plan page after a couple minutes before they even made an annoucement about 10 minutes later.

I purchased my sim card from Walmart and they let me take it home without them activating it.

Basically all of PM's promotions are for new customers.
It really grinds my gears, because I really could have used the $30 2GB plan, but oh well.

If anybody wants in on this promo and can't get a SIM card in time, I can give you a SIM card number for online activation and send it to you tracked.
Would only ask for the cost of the SIM card (Ontario tax).

Only posting here because it's relevant to this promo. I get nothing out of this, but if anybody objects, I'll remove the post.
(Doing this because I have a few spare SIM cards I want to get rid of)

Exactly!! And 30$ 2 gb plan is perfect for me. And it's honestly logical wen u see the plans they have - a 30$ plan below could be perfect.
25$ 1gb
30$ 2gb
40$ 5gb
50$ 8.5gb
60$ 12gb (includes limited time 2 gb bonus. It actually 10 gb regular + 2 gb bonus with promo code)

The above plans just makes so much sense. But no, they have to have a 35$ 1.5gb plan. Why would anyone opt for that ridiculous plan?

Clarification: This promotion is online only. Public Mobile has issued a correction to their annoucement to say that.

Does anyone know a way to get a free SIM card for these online only deals? I know ppl have been getting free SIM cards from the stores but I think you have to activate them in store.

Stores will only cover the cost of the SIM card if you activate in-store, so they get their commision.
Since this promotion is explicitly online-only, you're stuck with paying the $10 + tax for the SIM card.

The referral program ($10 credit upon activation) is designed to offset the cost of the SIM card.

Kind of disappointed lately with their promos. Still on their 120$/90 Days promo, but nothing worth refering people to. And I end up recommending Videotron most of the time
Still a Public Mobile customer.
Looking forward to dotmobile.

In your part of the country, there are much better options because of the videotron competition.

That's why they have the $10 referral program. I've given my referral code to a couple friends and they've gotten the $10 no problem so it's like you're getting the SIM for free
