Is this in addition to the regular 500mb autopay bonus?

So basically the $35 plan becomes 2.5GB and $40 plan becomes 6GB?

Yes, it should include autopay data bonus.

Also, if you sign up, you will get 400 long distance minutes add on and extra 1 GB data add on (unused portion will roll over until used up).

It's an add-on.
Once you use up the 1GB add-on. It's gone.
You do not get another 1GB next month.
This promotion explicitly states that you will get a 1 GB add-on every month.
the customer will receive a recurring 1GB data bonus.

It's the giveaway 1GB add-on for everyone (even existing customers) that is one time.

Well damn just signed up during the "black Friday" deal. Figures this is a better deal then that.

Wonder if I could cancel and sign up again?

Yes. You can. It will cost you money to port your number out/back if you already ported your number to PM. There is no refund of unused days because PM is a prepaid provider.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $36 5GB, $12 250MB, 2x $6 50min/50text, Fido $5 4GB data only plan with a free tablet,
Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, $0 FPL home phone. Have a better and better day!

Thankfully I haven't ported my number yet. Sucks it will cost me the month of the plan but I guess it could be worse. Not sure if selling the sim which already has the next month free plus an extra $12, and the 5gb of bonus data would work. To recover my costs.

It was a pretty decent offer but an extra Gb a month seems more worth while.

It sounds like you're interested in the recurring 1GB bonus. If you sell the older Public Mobile account, remember to add the one-time bonuses to add value.

You should try to sell it. For a minimalist user, 5GB non expiring data will last a long time. Of course the account qualifies for the 1GB and 400 international calling minutes gift. With the $12 in the account also, I would value the account being worth $50.

FYI, all existing customers can add a giveaway of 1Gb data and 400 mins of international call. Just proceed to purchase add-ons, the options will appear there for $0.

Just for clarification, the 1GB recurring credit is only for new customers (on $35 or higher plan). Only the one-time 1GB bonus is for all Public Mobile customers.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. It's actually a good plan and 6GB worth of buffer is nice. I added the 1GB gift and 400 international calling minutes. Additionally, I'll use that accounts referral code for my new account, so the account will get another $20 credit, for a total of $72 plus a monthly credit of $1. If anyone is interested PM me so I can jump on this promo.

So... is anybody porting out and then porting back in to get the extra recurring 1GB? Is it crazy to consider this idea?

It is usually not worth the trouble to port out and in, but it may in certain situations. You will lose any rewards (like loyalty, friends). You will need to purchase another mobile SIM card, open a plan at another mobile company and the port back with new PM Sim card....
