One more condition for this offer:

The e-mail address used when you reserved the offer must be the same e-mail address used for the new Public Mobile self serve account. If you have more than one account, keep in mind that each account needs a different e-mail address.

So.....can you sign up initially for the $40 or $50, then drop it down to the $30 one after you get the credit?

Offer is valid in store too except you have to activate between 28-31 and it’s stackable with the free SIM card offer at Walmart

Does walmart still give out free sim cards if you activate in store?

The only information that Public Mobile has provided to customers states online activations only.

The terms are all over the place this time around.

It says that you don't need to top up for the first renewal, but also says that the credit will be applied within 30 business days, which could be later than the first renewal...

Yes, you could, but you would end up initially paying full price for the first plan that you chose. If you change plans mid billing cycle, you'll lost anything you've already paid. The only way to avoid that would be to pre-schedule a future plan change.

The first renewal would be 30 days later. The first 30 says is never free for these kind of offers at Public Mobile.

Yup, there's no condition on keeping the same plan for any duration of time.
You don't want to change your plan before the first renewal anyway, and you should probably get the credit by then.

It does say that, but I doubt that the credit will take that long.

30 business days is to cover unforeseen event preventing them from adding plan fee before next renewal date.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $36 5GB, $12 250MB, 2x $6 50min/50text, Fido $5 4GB data only plan with a free tablet,
Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, $0 FPL home phone. Have a better and better day!

Which is why this promo irks me. It says (rather unnecessarily) that the customer doesn't need to top up for their first renewal.

If something does go wrong, Public Mobile has messed up the very reason the customer joined, and the customer gets a service interruption on their first renewal.

Not exactly the experience you want right after switching providers...hopefully they remain good on crediting before the first renewal.

YMMV. Depends on the individual Walmart representative. Does not hurt to ask rep, but no guarantees though.

I think that this is a moot point. All official information provided by Public Mobile clearly says that this promotion is only online. I'm not saying that there couldn't be an in-store promotion, but that it hasn't been advertised anywhere.

They have been doing second month free promos for a very long time. They know what they are doing so to speak. There's no risk of having to pay for the first renewal.
