The bonus will be added to the account within 30 business days. Bonus 5GB will remain on the account as long as customers remain on their rate plan. If a customer changes their rate plan or falls into suspend, the customer will lose the Bonus 5GB.

So this is in store only deal? If yes, put that in the title, makes a huge difference.
This promotion is not well advertised then. Looks like one time 5 GB data on, unused data rolls over until used up. Not monthly bonus data.
The ongoing 2GB re-occurring data add on bonus is a better deal for plans greater than +$35 /month.
New customers can get 2GB of monthly bonus data for free when they activate on any plan $35 or higher with promo code 2GBBONUS.
This promotion has been going on since June. This activation needs to be done at home, online (not in store).
if anyone is hesitant signing up online with Public, I have done it yesterday and I had a great, smooth transition from Lucky Mobile. Just remember you need to have your account number, an unused SIM card, payment voucher or credit card, promo code, and a referral code.

Speakout ports are more trickier than other companies since Speakout does not have account numbers. Needs IME number from the phone. Also with the new PM activation portal (for at home, online activations), some new customers have found that there is no option to choose Speakout as their previous carrier. Some customers had to activate PM with a new temporary PM phone number and then ask customer service agent to port their numbers afterwards.

Almost certainly a one time 5GB bonus. Supposedly, according to OP, just an in store activation promotion. Not even advertised on PM community forum. Thus, OP can't provide a website link.

This promo is available for in store activations only for select locations. Targeted to specific areas. That is one reason why it was not advertised on Public mobile community forum. Not sure which areas, so for new customers, may want to call their nearest store vendor to make sure that this promo is active in their area.
Also, according to PM, the reoccurring 2GB promo code is not valid at the present time, but a flash sale is coming up soon again.
One of the disadvantages of opening a line in-store is not being able to spend the time to get a “good” phone number. I can’t remember phones anyone except for dead simple numbers or a good novelty number.

Can confirm. Just talked to an online representative on the PM website. If you're unsure of the locations the deal is being offered at, you can give a rep online your postal code and they'll list the available locations.
