At 3G speeds.

Will be the limiting factor for most.

Same as the previous deal but with 0.5GB more data.

Good deal for people who value calling internationally.

Turn off LTE and you get much faster speed like 25M in my area. I'm on the $50 plan with 8GB I guess I can switch for that extra 0.5GB.
I'm waiting for a Koodo migration. Hopefully it happens in the next 6 months or less.

I wish! Public Mobile's real 3G can be faster than Public Mobile's 3.5 mbit/s LTE cap. Data quota is still the bottleneck! At the 3.5 mbit/s cap, you can eat up your 8.5 gig monthly quota in under 5 1/2 hours. The cap is high enough where there is no real complaints from the Public Mobile users that use the service. Not even noticeable in most situations, and in situation where it could be noticeable, you should not be doing on a device which has such a poor quota.

Too bad unlimited US calling is only Canada to the US and not both ways.

Thanks. Updated my current $50 for 8GB to the 8.5GB for the same price.

Has there been any confirmation that non-legacy Public Mobile plans (particularly the $120 12gb LTE 90 day plan) will be offered something from Koodo down the road?

Those Public Mobile 3G speeds are faster for me than the LTE data plan I had with Fido.

Me and my wife have been using it for past couple of months and there has been hardly anytime we missed LTE speed . Streaming (Video & Audio) works flawlessly and so does navigation which is what most people use when they are away from home . And unlimited US calling is a plus . With auto payment you get 2 bucks off each month and 1 buck off for every referral and every year you get 1 buck off if I am not wrong .

You are on Telus LTE network , with throttled bandwidth.

So all this for 48 bucks and no credit checks as it prepaid.

I tried that but I find the response time is slower in browser. So i switched it back to LTE

I noticed that as well. I mostly use 3g for streaming HD video otherwise LTE is fine.

Very solid deal. LTE capped at 3.5MPBS is still good enough for 720P videos, spotify, google maps, browsing and etc.

Does anyone know what the 500MB "Autopay" bonus means?

Does that mean you don't get the $2 Autopay discount on this plan but instead get 500MB?

3G is plenty for most people. It can play 720p videos fine on youtube just 1080p has a lot of buffering.

If you don't take the autopay ( 2$ reduce ) you will not having the 500 mb on bonus. Simple like that.

I have this one at 30$ with 500 mb and is on lte and is fine for the speed if i really want a speed i have bell gigabit at home..

I don't understand. Are you saying that when you're on Autopay you choose between the $2 discount and the 500MB? Or you get both?
