Purchasing Points

All the hotel chains have bonus points right now.

I have a month vacation in April and did not want to start pre paying non refundable. I like to book things ahead of time and pay it off.

Would it be a good idea just to buy points and book it with the points (That way I can get it cancelled a day before).

Most of the hotels Im now looking, its cheaper to buy the points, however, the hotels I did choose were mom and pop places. Going this method, I will be staying in chains and paying a little more.

Be very wary of points devaluation in case your trip does get canceled. You may have a bunch of points that won't even get you to the same hotel a years down the road.

Can you elaborate, which hotel chains, and how to get the bonus points.

To this OPs points we need more details. Each and every single hotel chains (whether they have 3 or 5000 locations) have something going on. So let us in on a little more and we can be sure to make it go a heck of a longer way Grinning Face
