Q? abuot stat holidays during notice period in ON
So, in Ontario, say a person has worked at a firm for 7 weeks. That same person give 2 weeks notice (for example, Mon. 23 Dec this year) and stat holidays like Xmas day, boxing day & New year's day fall within that notice period. Presume that same firm dismisses the said employee immediately upon receiving notice. Would the firm need to pay that dismissed employee for the stat holidays since they were scheduled, ready and willing to work before, in between and after the noted stat holidays?
