Thought this place was on Queen St. but it’s actually on Bloor. I have nothing else to contribute here.

As streaming services seem to be continuing to whittle down their collections of stuff they don't own, and more and more streaming services come online, creating additional costs, we're going to wish all these video stores hadn't closed up shop.

Damn, only one major store left: Bay Street Video.

I am pretty old school and prefer BD picture and BD audio over streaming services.

I definitely be there to pick up some of my favourites.

Queen Video and Suspect were regular haunts back in the early 90's. RIP

Can't wait to see what flavour of bubble tea or kawaii little trinkets/clutter store will replace it. Or maybe another salad bar?

Sad, but also shocked it hadn't happened earlier. Last time I was there was 15 years ago. And I still lived in Toronto for 10 of those.

Too many streaming services carry such crap selections of the movie of the month

Couple this with the Marvel Apocalypse (I still blame them for basically destroying the movie industry as nothing else seems to get made these days) and the end is nigh
Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 13GB + 1000 Intl LD
Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

Funny enough, I still haven't watched the last Avengers movie and everyone looks at me like I'm uncultured swine. I simply lost interest after the billionth movie. Confused Face

I was there around 11:30. BluRay movies were $13.50, BluRay tv per season was $17.50, DVDs were $8.

The BluRay tv selection was very limited and some of the BluRay movies are more expensive than Amazon.

This place was good. Lasted a long time. The DVD market has been dying for a while.

Their sign said 30000 titles available

In general I HATE superhero movies
It gets even worse when people start falling all over themselves for a crappy film (eg Black Panther) because oh look minorities made it
That movie had some of the dumbest writing ever
Best picture lol

Well, no. There's more movies being made today than at any point in history. Marvel is a very small percentage of all movies being made these days.
