Question about a Camry Hybrid 2019 on AutoTrader

Hello Peeps. I am in the process to buy the following Camry Hybrid 2018:
https://www.autotrader.ca/a/toyota/camr ... 5&sprx=100

I had a few concerns and wanted your opinion:
1. The odometer on Autotrader says 80k km but when I went in dealership it was 83k km. Now I doubt it would have been customer driven so what do you suppose happened?
2. Are there any engine/tranny problems I should be aware of in the 18-19 Camry Hybrid?
3. Do you think the battery would last over 200k km?
4. Is the warranty worth it for $2200 (covers bumper to bumper)
5. Are we still allowed to exchange within 7 days if any problem arises?

And need your overall thoughts. Thanks.

1. A salesperson has been driving it to and from work.

3. Taxi industry has many very high milage Prius. Don’t see why not.

4. Probably not.

1 - They obviously just rounded down for the ad
2 - Change the oil at the recommended intervals
3 - Yes, easily
4 - Probably not....you're primarily buying a Toyota because you don't want to have issues so you're willing to put up with bland but reliable.
5 - Depends on Toyota's policy

You should remove the link as soon as possible. As soon as the dealer sees so many visits to the link, they will think many people are interested in buying this car, thus will not negotiate the price and may even raise the price.

Early 2018 models had some transmission issues.. Toyota used a new transmission for 2018 year

There's a photo of the odometer in the ad that matches what's listed.

Very high mileage for the age. Maybe it was an Uber or Taxi.

You're hilarious...this isn't high mileage for a 2019, it's above average.

Canadian average is what, 15-20k per year? This has been in service for no more than 2.5 years.

So the high end of average would be 50k.

What would high milage be for a vehicle put into service in Mar 2019?

Come guys, Rob_EV drives like 100k per year pre-COVID. 80k in 2.5 years is low mileage from his perspective. lol.

Well they do say, an average person drives 20K KM per year, so for 2 years it should be 40,000KM.

But the car has 80K KM, which means the MFR warranty would be expired by now. Get the carfax.

199,561km on my 2018 (just checked on the app), not even 200k yet (3 years old in June).

80k on a Camry Hybrid is NOTHING. It will eventually die from old age, not number of km.

Wow that's amazing. I'm assuming the bulk of this mileage is work related?

Yes, due to my various part time jobs. I get to sit in front of a computer for 8.5 hours a day at my FT job. Good thing I don't drive at my FT job ;)

Just recently heard of a local guy here who drives to the USA every day. Apparently he has 350,000km on his 2018 (almost 3 years old) - will need his OEM brakes changed soon. His car makes my mileage seem low.

I hope they did more than that one oil change in 50,000 km.

Carfax is not reliable and only shows data that have been reported. Just search "carfax scam" to read the stories.

I'd agree with that 100%.

When I was with Toyota, we would have groups of guys come in to buy a vehicle they planned to run Uber 24/7 in 8 hour shifts split between 4 people. They'd put 100k+ on in a year though.

With 50k in a year I would say it's probably someone driving the vehicle to work and doing Uber afterwards, or doing Uber part time 3-5 hours a day.

Listing is down now, so I would assume OP bought the vehicle. The 2019 Camry Hybrid is a beautiful car and I'm sure OP will be happy with it.
2013 Wins - $1320 - Woohoo!
