Yes they're Sanforized.

Your jeans will relax after a bit. I'm sure there is starch in them to give it that rigid cardboard feel. Give them more time and they will mold to your body.

I remember going on a buying rampage on them last year with UOs and ended up not keeping any. I pretty much Fd everyone who wore a 32 and 33  Now that I need an extra pair of jeans I'm desperately looking for them now and I don't want to buy them online.

Just bumping my previous question.

Anyone? I know they're available online, but I'd prefer to pick them up locally.

Eh, too cheap to spend too much money on this, but I do wear a pair of $30 Uniqlo raw selvedge S001 slim fits in sz 29

around 7 months with just one hot soak maybe 4 months in

not too much fading but I'm patient, will probably give it the first real wash at the year mark

It's pretty funny actually. Around 3 Weeks ago I went to the Urban Outfitters on Queen Street, the one away from Eatons and when I asked a sale associate about Unbranded, they didn't even know what that was. I'm not sure if N&F are still doing them or are they focusing more on their Paul Rose line.

I have owned a pair of Uniqlos for over a year. They've barely faded.

Urban Outfitters has stopped carrying the Unbranded brand a while ago.

Actually I think they only carry them in the states and online.

If you like bejazzled jeans then they are fantastic. Otherwise I'd avoid them.

Hey guys,

I've never owned a pair of raw denim before, but I'm looking at picking up a pair of N&F skinnyguy's. I usually wear levi's 510, and I understand that the skinnyguy cut is slightly baggier than this, but that is OK.

I am trying to decide between the indigo power stretch or left hand twill (or any other 100% cotton at the $140 price point).
The thing is, I like stretch denim, but since its my first pair of raw denims I was wondering if its better to just go with the traditional non-stretch version. However, since I like a tight fit on my pants, I'm worried about the 100% cotton ones stretching out alot. I have tried these pants on in-store, and I liked the fit, but any significant stretching in the thighs more than 0.5 inches or so would turn me off. So, in that way the advantage of the stretch denim is it may not stretch that much... but they seem less durable and aren't "selvedge". Does anyone have experience with the stretch denim?

Go for 100 percent cotton. Read up on the jeans to see how much they wills stretch and size accordingly, always good to do research before hand before purchasing a pair of raws. To minimizing stretching on the waist, ALWAYS wear a belt unless you want to be "thugged" out.

So I usually wear a 29 or 30 waist jeans, and my measured waist is around 31". For levi 510's, the 29's are really snug at first but loosen up in the waist and thighs after a few wears. I'm thinking for N&F skinnyguy's, a size 29 would be good?

Here is the general sizing chart for N&F Skinny guy, taken from Tate&Yoko's online store site

TAG SIZE 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 36
WAIST 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 37
FRONT RISE 9.5 9.5 10 10 10.25 10.25 10.25 10.5
UPPER THIGH 10 10..25 10.75 11 11.25 11.25 11.5 11.75
KNEE 7.5 7.5 7.75 8 8.25 8.25 8.5 8.75
LEG OPENING 6.8 7 7.25 7.3 7.5 7.75 8 8.5
INSEAM 37 37 37 37 37 37 37 37

I would probably go for a 29 or 30, depending on the fabric. If it was a pair of E2's, probably a 30, because I don't think it'll stretch as much
If you choose something like the new indigo stretch, grab a 29
Hope that answers your question!

Ok, thanks for the info. I think I will go with a 29 in broken twill/left hand will. Do you know if there is a difference between the colour of these two styles? They both seem dark indigo to me...

LHT is marketed as being softer feeling (source n&f)
broken twill does not have leg twist after washing (source is brandon at n&f again)
