So is this a buy or not, still using a $100 blu phone. Needs an upgrade for wife on the one plus x $200.

Seems like no deals on phones lately, as in everybody wants 1k for a YouTube browser.

I compared this with my S8 on GSMarena and frankly I am underwhelmed so it will be a pass for me. It is actually over 40% heavier than the S8 with a smaller screen but bigger battery.

Regarding a bigger screen, keep in mind the aspect ratio is different, and if you are watching 16:9 content then it will be 5.7" on the Razer 5.7" display but only 5.18" on the S8 5.8" display.

Damn. 155g (S8) vs 220g (Razer Phone 2)

Wonder how many people are going to return the one they bought on Prime Day to take advantage of the additional $15 off for signing up for their newsletter..

Just curious as I couldn't come up with an answer the other day after doing some research.
Isn't Amazon return not free if product isn't defective or there was no error on their shipment? I read something like they will deduct the return shipping cost on the refund.

Yes Amazon will charge you to ship something back if the reason is something like you changed your mind. But given the choice, I think most people just say a product is defective to ship it back for a full refund. If you abuse the policy, they will ban you just like Costco.

Well it's their only phone, so by default it's their flagship. That doesn't mean it's on par with an Apple or Samsung flagship...
You can find "flagship" phones for $100 from budget brands.

There won't likely be a Razer Phone 3 any time soon.

It's not equivalent to the S9+. They are very different phones, and if you thought Samsungs software updates were bad, wait until you see Razer's.

Edit: Do some reading on the Reddit Sub before you buy: https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone/
will it be badder?

Then they turn around and cram them in to a giant Otterbox

If you do not use the speakers on your phone, speakers are not important. Reducing bezels also reduces the size (LxW) of the phone, assuming you can fit everything in that smaller size. Aesthetically, some people prefer smaller bezels.

I like small phones. I have used a large phone and it was not a great experience. I do understand that larger phones are better for media consumption, maps, reading, and everything else that comes with a larger screen. I prioritize one-handed use, pocket-ability, and weight over the benefits that come with a big phone.
