Was showing only 20% for RBC Avion points, moved points to Rewards+ then ordered $350 amazon gift cards for 35K points.

I finished all the points during the financial products promo - got cash in the RBC account but this is also good, they do this often just that their app never notifies on such deals.

I remember that one. That was because rewards+ had a 1:100 points exchange rate for the amazon gift cards compared to the usual 1:140, and it stacked with the 20% discount at the time. Now that everything merged into avion rewards under a "tiered" system, and rewards+ holders being in the lowest tier, we won't be seeing something like that again. Kind of figured out that transferring points between rewards+ to business avion or personal infinite avion/privilege is possible ever since the update... before, you could only do it but downgrade from avion points to regular tier..

Account Page showed 'Elite' as status, and 'Amazon.ca' gift-card page shows this: 'Up to 30% LESS POINTS until October 2nd at 11:59 pm EST!'
