Thanks, didn't want to wait to redeem for travel and can usually find better deals not using points. Bought $350 in GC for 34,300 points.

Wondering if the same deal 1:72 will ever be back for reward+. The way it goes right now, highly unlikely.

Looks like I may have missed the deal. When I add a $100 card it shows 14,0000points. Are you guys still seeing the deal?

Try do checkout and see if u see the discount on it. I also see full points outside but when you add to checkout it applied the discount of 30% points. Check where you select gift card amount if at bottom it says 30% discount will be applied at checkout.

I checked out and it didn’t show the discount. Cancelled the order right away. Thanks though

I'm not having any luck through avion app or rbc rewards page. Showing 30% off but checkout showing the full amount. I downgraded to ion last week. Anybody else able to still get 30% off

Me too, annoying. They clearly state it should be available for a few more hours.

It could just be they ran out of stock (it does state "while supplies last"). That happened a few weeks ago when everyone was buying up tons of cards because of the double discount glitch.

Travel is better, BUT the problem with travel these days is that airlines flipped their pricing in recent years to favour "surcharges" rather than airfare. Your points count towards the airfare, but you have to pay for fees and taxes. So, if a ticket is $1000, but made up of $250 airfare and the rest is taxes, airport fees and BS fuel surcharge, you end up paying $750 and losing all your points for that $250 airfare portion. I hate it!
I am now shopping for tickets to Europe and they are 65,000 points + $900. The same ticket is $1500 through airline. So, I am spending 65000 pts for $600 even though the max value is $1100.

Bitter trust but Select the flexible point option when searching for flights and you are good to go.

I guess the business class is a better option. What you think?

I have both the ion and reward+. The reward+ had the discount but not the ion so I transferred all my points from ion to reward+
