[Royal Bank] RBC Rewards Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals

For those who have RBC Reward points, RBC is offering some nice points discounts from their Rewards catalogue. Specifically, the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 are both 40% off the reward points.

Seems like it's still pretty pricey relative to the travel redemption schedule if you have an Avion.

45K points is the face value on a long haul flight.

Thats actually a very good deal compared to their bestbuy/fs redemetion which has that ipad mini 3 for 73,000 points & that you would only be able to get $367 worth of gift cards with that many points

Is the 55000 points for the iPad air 2 already 40% off or its 40% off 55000?

The points redemption on products is pretty expensive, IMO. As an Avion member, I get $1 per 100 points, so 55k points would be $550 worth of travel spending for me. That "40% off" is really just bringing you down to retail price, so you're basically saving the tax on regular retail pricing. Better than nothing, I suppose.
