Before used to be 3,000 for $25.
If that's the case, shouldn't it now be 2,400 points for 25$ since it's 20% off?
It shows 2,800 points for most cards.

$25 cards are usually 3500 points. 20% means they are now 2800.

I had to log in and out a few times to get the right redemption prices so be careful.

If you have a rewards plus card, Homesense, Amazon and Chapters are discounted on top of the usual redemption offer of $25 for 2500 point; they are now only 2000 points.

When I said before, that was more like "back in my day." For years the point redemption was $25 card for 3,000 points, then they upped it to 3,500 points. Now with the 20% off offer, it's 2,800 points, so compared to what it is and what it used to be, this is a pretty good redemption rate.

I did notice it's not all gift cards though. I wanted home depot cards and those were not a part of the sale. I settled on Amazon cards.

$25 for 2000 points. That seems pretty good if you use hotels.com, no?

Does anyone know if you can buy points with cash and it still be worth it?
Is there an option to buy points? I can't find it, but would like to see if I can buy 200 points to round up to the next gift card...

Awesome. So glad I saw this thread as I was just going to cash them in for Home Depot Cards. No discount on them unfortunately, but I shop at Amazon all the time....so Amazon it is!

Thanks OP.

This seems to be the best redemption value from the ones I looked at. Is there an expiration on the gift card value, or does hotels.com suck for booking? Not sure what the catch is, other than it being somewhat less versatile than Amazon.

Amazon GC shows $25 for 2000 points. However, upon checkout, it charges 2800 :(

How do you get 25$ for 2000 points?
I believe you need a rewards+ card. I got $100 for 8000 just now.
