Should note that this doesn't apply to the West for the no tax.

Pretty standard but we generally get similar deals (just not posted as often) when west has no tax events.

I bought this same TV from Shoppers Drug Mart last November for $437 all in and earned 11590 SDM points.
Buyer beware of this Technicolor brand. Customer service is extremely poor.
My 60" crapped out after 2 months of sparse use and is now sitting with a repair shop under warranty. You cannot return to the store.
The picture is absolutely terrible for a supposedly 4k UHD TV. Looks more like my TV's bought in the early 2000's.
I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and buy a TV when on sale at Costco, simply for their generous return policy and also a cheap purchased extended warranty plan.

We got the Sharp 60" on the last No Tax event. The first one was a lemon and we had to exchange it at the store. This one is going fine so far and if I can use it for 4-5 years, I will be content.

This 55" is going for $399 in some ottawa locations and may go on sale for the no tax event as well. Probably the best priced 4k set right now. Also one of the best low end models and brand for under $400. Would be happy for someone to prove me wrong though, always looking out for better :)

They (Hisense) are not that bad actually. I'd say they're one of the better "budget" brands. I picked up a Sharp 50 inch 4K on Black Friday and its still going strong. Has a way better image than I expected at the price point. The smart features are also awesome, very fluid and smooth.

Sorry for hijacking the post but do you still sell major appliances and do they have tax free for those too?

Just small appliances now. And yes in the event there would be no taxes on them too.

Agreed!
I too bought the 50" Sharp TV during last year's BF from Zehrs for ~$470 and I've got to say that I am very impressed with the PQ.
This one is smartcast enabled and the PQ is way wayyy better than the Sharp Roku models that I've seen at BB.

It's similar to $60~$100 toy projectors from Amazon.
People on slickdeals managed to get it as low as $15 USD on WM clearance earlier this year.

Fair value for these are nothing past $50 so at $100 all in I would stay away.
