For those that chase the No Name bbq and other products - no idea how it tastes compared to the big brands.

I assume this is the sale price given that it's in the flyer.

Simialr to pc beers (made by big rock out west)
I would also assume this is made by a larger producer that makes a name brand product

Add 2 more bucks and you can get Smirnoff or any other decent stuff.
Life is too short to drink cheap vodka.....

Minhas does a ton of off-brand labels. It's the bulk of their business. That'd be my guess.

Agreed, anything that is triple filter distilled is going to be almost exactly the same with a different label on it. Most mixologists agree that clear grain or starch spirt is almost all the same with the exception of gin which is infused clear spirt.
I dare anyone to put this beside three other vodkas in blind tests and tell me they know which one is which.

^ i'm no connoisseur but i've tasted a few bad ones. usually the ultra cheap brands no one has heard of. if anything they tasted like they were more than 80 proof. But yea, other than those, they all taste the same to me.

Didn't Mythbusters do this?
IIRC the crew failed, but an expert taster figured it out pretty quick.

They even tossed in a cheap vodka and filtered it themselves and the expert figured it out right quick.

It’s unfortunate that big corps have conditioned us to believe that know name products are better. Which is unfortunate for our finance. I know someone who distils alcohol from grape juice (available in 20l buckets usually for wine making) aka grapa. Best godam liquor I ever tried.
