Re-sharpening Philips SH90/63 shaving heads??

Seen bunch of vids on older models on ytube. Where they use some type of metal polish/diamond polish on the shaving heads to re-sharpen the blades. Anyone try this? Does it work?? I heard the later series 9000+ models use a rounded shaving cutter so the flat method on mirror or ceramic doesnt work. Any DIY yourself method instead of spending some 63+ tax for a new set every 1.5-2yrs for SH90/63 or is it the same??

Not sure but I had my shaver for over 15+ years and I still haven't sharpen it yet. The shaver still works fine to this day.

Do you use it everyday? What model?? I only need to shave once every 4 days or so... have the Philips s9531/27. That will increase the longevity right there. The last Philips I had lasted only 3.5yrs. 15+ yrs is nuts!!

I have like every other day or every three days? Not sure what model is but is pretty old like old school old lol. The battery is the only thing that's not doing great and have to charge it every few days.
