Great price compared to other retailers, and even Costco at $29.xx/kg. Is there Any product difference ?

And why does RCSS Ontario have it on sale at $8.88/LB ? real-canadian-superstore-beef-tenderloi ... o-2392722/

IME a minimum of 6 lbs with 7-8 the average.

FWIW, a former meat packer neighbour of mine says cows (and hence meat cuts) are usually smaller in the east than the west.

For those out West, the supplier of the Tenderloin for both Superstore and Costco are both from Excel Foods.

Just picked up a nice one from Superstore at about 30% Savings compared to Costco. Both are AAA beef.

I meant 30% savings compared to buying the same cryovac vacuum package from Costco

Superstore is at Grandview, Vancouver. $22 a kg is a steal.

Great deal. Thanks OP!

Note, limit of 2 full tenderloins per customer... might need a return trip before this ends, the food saver going to get a workout this weekend.

It was $10.98/lb with $15 points back per bag In Dec. with average 7 to 8 lbs per bag. It was about 10% cheaper. But then everything is more expensive now during Covid-19.

They usually add the 15K points bonus the last couple of days of the sale to clear stock. But YMMV applies.

Hi all. Just had some.

The trimming of the beef was very easy with my filet knife I usually use for salmon. I very simply seared two small pieces (seasoned with salt/pepper/canola oil) on a med hot steel pan. (oil the meat - not the pan) ...About 2-3 mins a side. Let it rest for another 5 in another covered bowl. Added some butter and garlic/soy sauce to the orig pan and deglaze it...

after wards just slice the beef thin-ish and drizzle with pan drippings.

Now I've had a lot of different cuts of meat in my life and I'm not a young guy lol....but this simply hands down the best I've had. It melted in my mouth like butter. Just great.

If you've ever felt you over paid for your steak experience and left a bit disappointed ....this $9.99 deal is a steal. Literally. Yes my 7.8lb cryovac was $78. WORTH IT.

Splurge. You'll love it. This is what top quality steak SHOULD taste like.

ps..and if you are in lower mainland...grab some of the fresh sockeye for $5.69 a lb. excellent as well.

As well, the 15k points offer was in the weekly flyer (West), back on April 9 to 16, 2020, (when it was also $9.98/LB)
