[Real Canadian Superstore] Free $10 Spotify GC when you buy $60 Spotify GC

You can get a free $10 Spotify gift card when you buy and activate a $60 Spotify gift card. Only valid on new card activations. Valid Nov 9 to 15.

Not a bad deal for those who have Spotify subscription. Basically one free month of Premium.

I'll be paying for the next year anyway so I might as well. Pretty good savings. Thanks

This might be a stupid question... How do you apply this to your spotify account?

Let’s call it as it is: “Pay for 6 months up front and we’ll give you the 7th for free”

  1. Go to www.spotify.com/redeem/
  2. Login to Spotify
  3. Enter the PIN on the back of the gift card. If the code is on a receipt, enter it. Click Redeem.

Unpopular opinion: who pays for Spotify when you can keep making accounts and use free trials ;)

I don't know, constantly remaking playlists doesn't seem like fun. Just join a family Spotify group for about $35 a year. There's a huge thread on it, I don't think a group would be too hard to find.

Speaking of which, I wonder if this would work on family plans? If so, I'm going to go tell the head of my household. =)

No, for some goofy reason Spotify GCs can't be used on family plans

Can you link to the thread? I've been looking for something like this!

$35 a year? Isn't the family plan $15 per month?
Split across 6 users which comes to about $35 a user

$15/month x 12 months ÷ 6 users = $30/year per user. Sounds like the head of your household is getting a discount. Spotify does not charge tax if that's what you're thinking.

Are you sure about this? I thought you can just apply the gift card to your account and Spotify will just deduct from the balance accordingly no matter whether you have the premium plan or the family plan.

1. The “Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use”, which can be found at https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/legal/end-user-agreement/, form part of these Card Terms. The Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use may include terms and conditions in respect of the collection and use of personal data, general provisions regarding the services offered by Spotify, choice of law, mandatory arbitration (where applicable) and venue.
2. The Card is redeemable for full price standalone Premium subscription months only and cannot be redeemed for discounted or group subscriptions (such as student discounts, trial offers, Premium for families, or offers combining Premium with other companies’ products or services).

you're welcome
