Great deal if you are looking for glasses. They will try to steer you towards in house brands (don't) and numerous add-ons. I would personally avoid extras because they just jack up price. But if you have insurance coverage this deal is a no brainer.

Cheers

How much are the cost of the lenses? Looks like a pretty decent deal! Does anyone have any experience with their optical department?

My family of 4 are all due for new glasses of $400/each under our plan. We usually shopped at Costco for best price but this deal looks pretty good for our timing. Hope someone can chive in their feedback, compare to Costco, if possible.
TIA and cheers

Thanks OP for sharing/posting the deal. Appreciated your time.

Just avoid the house brands. Go big. I have a few pairs and they are decent. This works best if you have insurance already. Bada bing.

Got house and brand name. I prefer more expensive brands. Better quality and fancier.

Nothing wrong with house brand at all. They might not be as "stylish" and thats debatable, and might be a bit heavier. Other than that, you still get the same quality lenses.

I was offered to pay with points last year but chose to pay by credit card as my insurance covered it.
My hesitation at the time was if I had paid with points, would insurance have covered it?

I've purchased from RCSS optical when they have the 50% off sale around the end of september. Costco regular price($420) was cheaper than the superstore sale price($560) for my prescription which includes high index progressive lenses. I have no complaints about the quality of the lenses or the service at superstore, but Costco have about the same selection and are very transparent about prices and add ons.
The superstore deal also includes a box of barbecue condiments if you spend $300

Yes you can pay with points. You will also get the bonus points back on your account. And finally, insurance will reimburse you cash for the purchase. Win / win.
