[Real Canadian Superstore] lapid choice chicaron (pork rinds) 54¢/2.75 oz bag YMMV

My local RCSS (Langford) has a clearance cart of pork rinds (prepared in Richmond, B.C.) by the int'l food aisle.

54¢ / 2.75 oz bag. Limit of 14 otherwise it goes up to well over $1. Comes in a couple of flavours.

Dang, I was just in langford last night and almost stopped there to grab some of these, had no idea they were on sale. Delicious low carb (high fat) salty snack!

Thanks OP. Perfect for my keto diet. But when I went to rcss, there were only 10 bags left and got em all. Good thing cauliflowers in that store were on sale 2 bucks each!

Is that a thing? I don't think that's actually a thing.
Pork rinds only pop because the skin of a pig is so thick.

Once you've had hot and fresh ones you can't go back to bagged ones.

You mean chicken?
You can make a "chip" like thing but it's no where near as thick as these.

I like both for different reasons.

Back in stock (partial box) with the price tag gone so casual passers-by may not notice they're on sale. Limited myself to 2 bags.

The stuff keeps on getting replenished in drubs 'n drabs. There was a large box last week, 3 large boxes earlier today.

There is a chicken version that exists, not sure if the same brand or even if any sale though

If you have a Filipino grocery nearby, they sell fried chicken skins as chicken chicharon or chicharon manok. Tindahan in Richmond, BC, for example, sells them for about $4/bag.

You can make these things very easily with an air fryer.

Buy 14, go back buy 14, go back buy 14. Give these out for Halloween!

Any in GTA RCSS locations.

Sure. It's a good bit of work, but the results are incredible.

You can also buy "chips" that you can nuke for decent results. Look for "microwavable pork rinds"
It's about the only reason I ever use my microwave.

I prefer the fresh fresh ones though made from a skin that I simmer, scrape, dehydrate, then fry but the nukable ones are good in a pinch.
Anywhere in Toronto?
Got me....
I buy skins from a butcher. Toronto butchers probably have it.
Nukable ones I get off Amazon.com
.ca has some too, but they're more money.

Interesting thing, chicharones is a snack of Spanish origins and when you go to Spain you don't see it that much, but when you go to any of the regions of the world that they invaded like Latin America and Philippines and its all over the place.
