If you can still find the V1, Check the serial to see if the switch is unpatched. An unpatched switch can be used to run Homebrew. The serial ranges are available on GBATemp.

I sold my used one for $400 after redeeming at SDM for the Mario Kart bundle. Instead of spending half a grand on these outdated consoles better to get Stadia - it's amazing at fraction of the cost.

Stadia requires a constant internet connection. Stadia also doesn't have games like mario. Am I going to be able to use stadia while riding subway ? Nope

Those who don’t want the v1, I think it’s much better than v2 in the grand scheme of things due to home brew.
You can do A LOT with it from getting free games to using it as a ROM machine, etc.
I have 2 switches. I install my games on the v1 and run it without the cartridge because my 5 year old sometimes wouldn’t put it back in the case and we’d have to search for it.
