[Real Canadian Superstore] Ontario: Prime Rib oven roast AAA or USDA choice $5.44LB (Apr 18-21)

Real Canadian Superstore cap-off prime rib oven roasts, cut from Canada AAA or USDA choice grade beef on sale for $5.44 LB from Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21.

Keep in mind that although the flyer says the sale is on from Thursday to Sunday, stores will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Not as good as for past holidays (I believe it was ~ $4.77 last Christmas and Easter), but still a good price. A sale made even sweeter since I have a stackable PC Optimum 200 / $1 and 100 / $1 offers on beef.

how did you get those coupons? I’m a PC insider and I don’t see those offers in my app.

While many offers will be the same from account to account, they are targeted based on your purchase history. I rarely buy beef from RCSS and I don't have that offer in my account either.

#$%* ya, definitely going to pick some up and will do the serious eats method to prepare it.

For anyone interested, here is the full article https://www.seriouseats.com/2009/12/the ... e-rib.html

-Cook in oven at 200°F until meat is at desired temp, thermometer is key. Took a few hours, can't remember exactly how long as I was just concerned with temp, not time.
-Remove and let rest for about 30 mins
-While resting, crank oven to 500°F
-Put back in 500°F oven for 10 mins
-Take out, slice and serve immediately

Crispy crust, no grey band, nice and juicy and the family loves it! Thanks for the heads up OP!

Quick reminder: a ribeye steak is simply a slice of prime rib.
Buy a roast, de-bone and slice into steaks.

cap-off
Even though I'm in BC, I would literally fly to Ontario if I could just buy the cap.
Seriously... why the hell is every Prime Rib deal cap off? It's the best freakin' part.

Fixed.
The bone is the 2nd best part.
