We don't have a Freshsmart... Never even heard of them to be honest. But they are $3.97/$3.99 at No Frills/Fortinos here in Ontario. So you basically get it for half price with the points

Freshmart is a Loblaws subsidiary, my RCSS price matches any Loblaws subsidiary even if out of province (Ontario) like Maxi and Provigo

This is pretty good and about the best you can get before heading to a speciality shop for all butter puff pastry, or making your own.
It's a combination of butter and shortening, but still better than the other grocery store puff pastry (e.g. Tenderflake) which are all margarine/shortening.

If you haven't used it before, there are two sealed packages in the box. Find it in the frozen section.
Thaw 1 (or 2) in fridge overnight, unwrap and unroll (it's a rolled up flat sheet). You can roll it out more with a rolling pin if you need it a bit bigger, but it's better if you use it as it comes.

If you like puff pastry and have freezer space, stock up. This one only seems to be available in December.

Not as good a deal on the phyllo, which is often on sale for $2 in Food Basics. Different brand (usually Cedar from Turkey), but I find most common phyllo to be very similar (at least how I use it).

Upvote for you!

I always thought they only price matched local Loblaw brands. It's time to start shopping the Quebec flyers. A lot of groceries I buy seem to be cheaper in flyers from across the river.

This was a great deal! Bought the butter pastry, took one roll after defrosting, put down on parchment paper on a baking sheet, rolled the edges up a bit, added organic tomato sauce, oregano, crushed black pepper, and the PC goat cheese from the other days special purchase. Baked in the oven for 30 minutes. Omg! Very good tasting!

Thanks OP and @blinkwy

Price matched Feshmart for a couple this evening. Learned something new on what stores they'll price match, saving me money in following weeks.

Ready for post-Christmas turkey pot pies.

I have gone through freshmart flyer but I can’t seem to locate it on the flyer. Is it a special insert?

If you can't find it in Flipp, it shows up at https://www.shopping-canada.com/flyers/freshmart
in their Home Is Where The Holidays Are flyer which is effective Nov 5 to Jan 6, added a pictured to the original post

throw some fresh or frozen berries on it, bake it, serve it with fresh whipped cream and sprinkle of icing sugar.
