[Real Canadian Superstore] PC Kaki Persimmons box of 6 - 0.88c (YMMV)

Ordered 4 persimmons via PC Express pickup and got 4 boxes of 6 persimmons for 88c each. They sell a box of 6 for 6.99 at Costco.

Edit:added pics of boxes and receipt. I may had got lucky, hope you do too!

I am fairly certain that this is $0.88 for one piece of fruit and not the box. Shows the original price as $1.28 each and historically a box of 6 of these go for $4.97+ on sale. Kind lame they use a picture of a full case. But in saying that if you actually get 4 full cases at 88 cents a case let us know!

I had to look at the image to figure out what a persimmon is!
While you got a hot deal, this is clearly YMMV as the associate who filled your particular order clearly made a mistake and assumed a case was "1" order vs individual.

Indeed I got 4 boxes to our suprise.

Possible the PC Express packer messed up? Yet, I would assume they had to scan the bar code to enter for bill of sale. Would like to prove it again, but I already got way more than I could eat before they go bad.

That's a pretty good score but it has to be a mistake by the picker. I added one to my next pickup order just to see but I'm fully expecting to just get 1 individual persimmon and not a case.

Thats heck of a score. Picker probably seen the picture and did the whole case by accident. It'll be fixed soon. Nice!!

If you freeze them it goes well blended with nut milk later.

Tempted to order some but may be disappointed with just getting 1 and not 1 box :D

Usually they discount overripened fruit, wouldn't be surprised that is what was happening at this store.

Yeah seems like an error made by the PC Express packer. Probably has a tablet and it shows that exact image of the case and it said 4 of those so thought 4 cases.

Also, OP, it's "$0.88" or "88¢" for your title.

"0.88c" means 88/100 of a cent ($0.0088).

OP you got lucky. I was at an RCSS and the per case price was $4.88. Next to that they had a pile of loose ones, 88c each.

That’s why I get the oval shaped ones those are sweet all the time. These if not super ripe leaves a terrible taste on the tongue.

They could be clearing them out at that store too. The store by me had a whole skid of them and they were pretty ripe looking but still full price, will probably go clearance soon. I got bananas for 8 cents a lb at the beginning of the year they had 2 skids on the floor with the sign saying 8 cents a lb cause they were overstock.

Nm after looking at your pics again yeah I think the picker saw the picture of the case and thought it was a full case.

You're lucky. Almost got a seedless watermelon from PC express when I bought a seeded one. Seeded ones cost about twice as much.
