Anyone done a taste test yet? I will risk $1 and buy a can later today.

There's a tuna brand named RIO from Italy that has tuna in olive oil in small cans, tasted good, but too expensive. I've read somewhere the best canned tuna is in olive oil.

it does taste better than the stuff in water, plus its 198g instead of 170

I mostly eat canned tuna packed in water just because I don't want the extra calories. But I have bought this Unico tuna on sale and it tastes good - I drain the oil before eating. Doesn't beat last weeks' excellent $0.67 no name tuna deal at No Frills but this is a decent price for Unico.

I just wish Unico was caught more sustainably. Any info I can find (which is also outdated, but Unico has nothing to show they improved) shows Unico is likely environmentally quite bad.
Oceans seems much better (not perfect, but better).

Like the other deal, this is Skipjack tuna, the cheapest kind, rather than Yellowfin or Albacore. All taste quite different.
