[Real Canadian Superstore] West: Cracker barrel cheese 400g $2.50

Price match no frills at $5 and buy in groups of 3 in order to get 7,500 points back for every $15 (in store offer listed in flyer). This brings the price for each bar of cheese to $2.50 for 400g.

Damn, just want to RCSS yesterday. Guess I gotta make a second trip later this week.

Also why the downvotes? Must be because not ON, lol.

Buy the shreds bags 320g. Price -match with No Frills $5. Buy 3 bags. Use the Get $3 off when you buy 2. Use the $1 off any cheese print coupon. Get the 7500 pts. Winnnn. $1.16/bag

More likely because the price is not $2.50. Around here it’s $5.98 (no price match available, plus some of us hate doing that anyway), and $X with $X/2 worth of points back isn’t really the same as just $X/2.

I got this today but didn’t think to check No Frills flyer to bring the price down to $5 each.

Black diamond is definitely lower quality/brand than Cr as cracker barrel....I find BD to have a rubbery plasticky texture

Is this cheese any good? I'm guessing it's way behind something like Balderson?

Yes, because the Get $3 off when you buy 2, applies to the first 2 bags of cheese. The $1 off any cheese coupon applies to the 3rd bag. Because your buying 3 bags, it isn't combining as its 2 different transactions in a way.

I found the coupons at Superstore a few months back. It pays to walk all the isles in search of coupons when you go grocery shopping. Cheese always goes on sale and this is perfect time to use the coupon with combined points back. Even if you cant find the the $3 coupon, print off a bunch of the $1 coupon and use each coupon on each bag saving $3. Poster above posted the link for the coupon

I also find the taste of Black Diamond cheddar to be very fake. It has a taste reminiscent of Cheez Whiz or Velveeta to me.

No, it's not anything like Balderson. It's an everyday low price bar cheese. It's good for snacking and cooking, but it's not the same quality as something like Balderson.

Balderson is $1.75+/100g.

These bar cheeses (Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, and store brand cheese bars) are $1-$1.75/100g for the 350-800g bars.

But I can't afford something like Balderson for everyday snacking. My family eats quite a bit of cheese (at least 800g a week, I'd say), and we find the No Name or Great Value cheeses sufficient for our snacking and cooking needs. I'll buy a higher quality cheese occasionally as a treat, if it's on sale, but we're fine with store brands (or Cracker Barrel if it's on sale for lower than store brands).

Edit: I'd say Kirkland is on par with Black Diamond. My family doesn't like their cheddar at all. The Bergeron packs at Costco go on sale for ~$1.20/100g fairly regularly though, and their cheese is better than store brands.

If I buy 6 bags price matched that’ll be $30. Get $15 in points makes it $15. Using the buy 2 get $3 coupons makes it $6. So $1/bag. Looks like homemade pizza and lasagna for awhile.
