Received new car in 3 months or less?

Everyone knows that getting delivery of some popular models can be close to a year or longer. I'm curious if anyone has received a new car within 3 months of ordering it? Please give your province and model. Thanks!

There’s so many variables that come to play with this question.
I ordered Ioniq 5 in November, got delivery a month later. First one sold at the dealership. Pre orders for this car happened months prior to me ordering. Many people cancelled their orders because they wanted the ultimate model.

Hyundai just cut off pre orders on almost all their fleet, so most ordering popular models will have to wait for 2023's to come into production likely in June. This is also a factor

Put in a pre-order for a 2022 car back in December. Was recently told by my SA it's in production and I should get it by the end of April so around 4 month wait.

What happens for people leasing cars these days? If a new car is taking 4-5 months to get, will dealerships extend the current lease if the new vehicle hasn't arrived the the lease end date (assuming you're leasing the vehicle from the same dealership)?

Buy it out and sell it later when new car comes and make profit. Everyone leasing with end term in 2022 should buy it out and sell it back to dealer and many dealers reach out with offer way higher than residual already .

Agreed. A friend of mine had a lease that would have ended in 2023 but he was able to get out of the lease and sell it to a dealership for a profit... The market is nuts.

There was a ~4 month wait for a Corolla Cross.
I ended up getting a Mazda CX-5 after around a month of waiting.
