Recommendations for 360 Cameras (Photo/Video)

Hello,

Looking to buy a 360 camera for an upcoming trip. Considering getting the Samsung Gear 360 but open to others. Can any please recommend some cameras and why or why not?

Thanks in advance!

Theta V

Ease of use and great quality for the price with great stitching.

Thanks aeork. How would the Theta V compare to the Samsung Gear 360 as far image quality and sensor quality. I have seen the Gear360 as low as $130USD. The Theta is almost $400. Is it worth it?

I've got the Gear 360 (2017) version, it's fun camera to take around.
Gives me a reason to actually use the selfie stick I bought years ago.
Just keep in mind the compatibility, I bought a used Samsung Galaxy S6 to pair with it in order to use the app.

Oh really? I have an iPhone 7 plus. Was hoping to use an app on that. Is it not usable at all without a Samsung phone?

This is from Samsung's website:
*Compatible devices include Galaxy S8, S8+ S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, S6, S6 edge, A5/A7(2017) running Android 5.0 or later, and iPhone 7, 7+, 6S, 6S+, SE running iOS 10.0 or later. (There are functional limitations when using with iOS devices.)

I read that you can't do a live broadcast on IOS devices but I'm not sure what or if there are other limitations.

Gotcha, thanks. I should receive it this week and will play around with it!
