Are you using softphones or physical devices? You might want to make sure you local network is configured properly for voip, especially if you anticipate more than one person using the phone at the same time.

We are using cloud based telephony. They had 30days free trial and shipped us some basic phones for free when we converted to annual subscription. The only problem their billing is in USD only.

Does fax (outgoing) work well with VoIP nowadays ?
Just sign up for an internet fax service. It's cheap (a few dollars per month) and effective. Fax is used less and less these days. There's no point in constraining your phone system to include an antiquated technology.
