Anyone owns this and know how the status check work? Is it just a simple tracking of ON/OFF or does it have actual sensors to check?

I have this unit working within HomeKit. It works really well. It has a sensor you need to place at the top of the door that sends signal on the status on the door’s open or closed position.

There are a few times it won’t activate, but I’ve realized this is when my phone is transitioning between data and wifi. As long as I’m cognizant of this then it works almost flawlessly.

I had one of these at the old house and loved it. New house didn't come with openers and can't seem to program the car with it either, so I was happy to get one of these for Christmas.

Not installing it until we get warmer weather though...

I'm using the Meross version several years now with our 20y old Genie garage door opener. Same hardware as Refoss, has always been reliable and is instantaneous over data network.

The app shows a pic of the door open or not but I also use a Wyzecam in our garage to get a real visual.

I've used it while not home for deliveries, had neighbours put packages in our garage while away, and let the kids in when they forgot keys (although we've had an August Lock on the front door for some time now and having them go through the garage isn't necessary anymore).

There's a magnet on the door and the wired sensor you run to the wall.

I have this and my use case is knowing when my garage door might have been accidentally open.

Sometimes i get paranoid if I've accidentally left it open and gf has mistakenly pushed the door open button several times... Leaving our garage door open for many hours.

I get a notification when garage is open for more than 10 min and i have it set to auto close after 2am if it's open for whatever reason.

I can open and close doors whenever from the app and sync to Google home so i can command it while i ferment on my couch.

Just a question
It can only be used/controlled only 1 door? I have 2 garage doors and 2 openers. So can i use it to control both openers or i need 1 for each
