Electric 1,600psi Pressure Washer: Armor All @ $79 _or_ Ryobi @ $98

Retailer:
Reno Depot or Home Depot
For those looking for a pressure washer, there are two models going on sale starting tomorrow (Thursday 16th).

The first one (Armor All) was on sale at Rona a little while back... here is the thread in the Expired Deals section:
rona-armor-all-pressure-washer-1600psi- ... 9-2282508/
Reno Depot that will have it for $79 (website currently showing the regular $169 price).

If you prefer Ryobi, check out Home Depot where it'll be on sale for $98 (website currently showing the regular $138 price).
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ryobi- ... 1001088060

Both descriptions show 1,600psi - don't know the pros/cons of one model versus the other (besides price)... just putting the info out there... your choice. Winking Face

Ebates offers either 2% or 1% cash back.

UPDATE:

1) As posted below, the Armor All is also going for $79 now at Rona (in case that's your preference).

2) If you sign up for the email subscription, you could get a code to save $5 off of $50 purchase (I did that for the Ryobi at Home Depot). BTW, when I posted yesterday, the local store had 24 in stock. It now shows 15 in stock.

3) Just got an email from Lowes about their Save the Taxes offer. Perhaps you can bump your purchase above the $100 minimum and try to PM the 15% discount? YMMV... I've had varying success in the past as it depends on the CSR. Good luck!

thanks OP, i might pick up the ryobi, seems like a decent little unit, positive reviews, toss on a foam canon and it'll pay for its self in like 10 washes.

I use the exact one with an amazon-bought (matacc) foam cannon. Works great!

Is it not illegal to wash your car with anything other than water that will end up in the sewer? (Calgary specific)

there are places to wash that prevent it from going in to the roadway drains.

(and yes, to my knowledge that's the law, though i am not sure i have ever heard it enforced)

Any comparison between the 2? I like the 3 year warranty with the Ryobi but the Armor-All is a rebraned Karcher. The Ryobi looks also nice and small. Reviews are fantastic as well.

the foam canon says 2 GPM but this one is only 1.2... that's not an issue?

Is the Ryobi washer more reliable than the Armour All one? Is the price difference worth it?
Thanks.

Edit: The warranty difference of 3 years vs 1 year may be worth it the extra 19 bucks.

I bought a similar Ryobi one last year (mine looks slightly bigger) and it's great for a small unit....not super powerful but seems durable for casual use and was what I was looking for.

I had borrowed my neighbors larger Ryobi and really liked it, so I got my own.

got the ryobi for in-store pick up! thanked!

I have family members that works for Canadian Tire corporate where they receive about 15% off the price. With the Simoniz 1600PSI on sale for $120, they work out to be about the same after tax. I assume Ryobi is much better? Seems more compact and better warranty
