599.99

Looks like a good deal for a HDD security server with 4 cameras. The cameras are 4K and it also comes with a 2TB hard drive.

It’s on sale plus stackable Coupon code: dereo10ca
Which brings the price to $599.

I installed the system last year. In 6 months, 50% of IR LEDs died.

After some ticket communication and troubleshooting, Reolink reimbursed half of the cameras' cost to settle the issue.

Just be aware, the IR LEDs don't live long. You may need an additional separate IR light.

I am about to get another set for my friend ... this scares me a little bit. How did you notice that half of the IR LEDs are dead? It becomes noticeable that night vision is strongly impaired, or half of the "dimmed" red dots are gone?

Was this for one camera or all 4?

The IR LEDs on all of mine have been fine and they're 3 years old now. Manufacturing defects happen in iPhones too, doesn't mean all iPhones are trash though..m

I bought this one a couple of months ago for $1129.99 plus tax.

Reolink 4K Ultra HD 16CH PoE Video Surveillance Camera System, 8pcs 8MP Person/Vehicle Detection PoE IP Security Cameras Outdoor with a 8MP 16-Channel NVR, 3TB HDD pre-Installed, Night Vision Waterproof 24/7 Recording, RLK16-820D8-A

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B082KHKG89/ref ... s9dHJ1ZQ==

Seems to be a good deal, however, I mixed over the NVR. NVR is fine for Reolink cameras, but I have 6 Dahua cameras and 5 Axis cameras besides and it is hit and miss getting them to work with ONVIF on this NVR. No issues with my Dahua NVR.

AI seems to be working pretty good in regards to Vehicle and Person detection. What I don't like is you need to actually go to the NVR and add any cameras. No a big deal but, can do this directly from the Dahua NVR web interface.

Lorex seems to have some good deals on the go now with the extra 25% off and Extra 5% for first order sign up. (Email and Text). Brings a comparable system down to the same price as the Reolink.

My friend has 2 Lorex systems - 16 Channel and 8 Channel. No issues so far.

Reolink has deals on all the time. Lorex may take a little longer.

Best of Luck.

I looked at lorex, swann(my sister has it) and reolink and went with reolink, the quality of the image was much better and the app was more useful. Reolink also has ptz and other cameras you can add to the nvr, i went with a 5x zoom and can read road signs at 240ft away.

Isn't the $499 Lorex deal with 8 PoE 4K cameras + NVR w/ 2TB + Sensors better?

Which Reolink? I am building a new house and was going to run ethernet to camera locations so I could upgrade to a POE system if needed, but was just planning on using some Wyze V3 cameras in the locations for a budget video security system.
I love the smell of savings in the morning...(PT).

I have 6 cameras - 4x 820 series from the set and and 2x 520 series bought separately. 1-9 out of 18 red IR dots dimmed or completely black now on all 6 cameras.

I did not notice any change to the night vision. However, I installed them in a cross-view pattern, so they might be compensating the lack of IR for each other.

Can confirm, have been running Reolink with 5mp cameras. No issues.

Defects happen, actually looking to add an additional 4 cams to my setup.

I posted this exactly a couple months ago.
reolink-reolink-rlc-410-5mp-poe-outdoor ... #p35637577

I have the same system about a year now. No issues.
Had a different Reolink system for 5 years before that and no issues.

Simple and user friendly. No issues so far.

BlueIris vs Reolink NVR?

I have my own servers so can run BlueIris on a VM, but obviously having it all in one solution would be nice for ease of use as long as features are rich.

I had my mind set on ubiquiti cameras but they are just too damn expensive for what you get out of them.

They perform well. No issues or video degradation.
I have a older 423 in the system and the PTZ functions still work at -30.

Nah. They always go on sale. I wouldn't sweat it.

With the stackable coupon code though? In the same boat where I am debating this exact system, but won't need it for another 5-6 months.
