Repairing a range hood motor

I bought a Westinghouse rangehood and it’s motor broke down. It was under warranty so I got a new motor but trying to understand how to set it up as no instructions were sent with it.

I have removed the regular philips screws from old motor, before installing the new motor I have to remove screws that I am not familiar with. I cannot install the new motor until the screws are taken off due to clearance issue. Anyone can see the pictures and provide some guidance? Thanks!

Both old and new motor picture attached. Old motor pictures with one screw removed.

Use pliers or vise grips on the unthreaded part to unscrew them off.
Or put two nuts on one thread, tighten them together and use a wrench on the nut closest to the motor to loosen off.
