Resident Evil 5 $59.99 at Zellers, FarCry2 29.99, some other decent deals

I wanted to get Far Cry 2 for PS3, but only the 360 version is $29.99.

I think the achievements and trophies are the same for both systems.

Based on the demo, the 360 had a slightly superior look. So far this generation, all the Capcom games have looked better on the 360, including DMC4 and SFIV is the latest example.
Having said that, go for you favorite controler and best price when choosing multiplatform games.

Yeah, but if you specifically go for achievements then I'd buy the 360 version and vice versa.

Shouldn't be hard to price match FS/BB since it is only a $10 difference... so go early on release day before they started making up reason(s) to stop honoring it

if its available for both platforms, go for whichever is cheaper. PS3 games seem to hold their TIV higher than 360 games and for longer, but if you're not planning on trading then that's nothing to worry about.

I hope they fix the "walk+shoot" thing before they release this... lots of people complaining that u can't shoot and walk at the same time...that really blows...

It's been years since I've last played a resident evil game! Correct me if i'm wrong, but from what I remember in the past was that you couldn't walk + shoot either.

Your correct. People who have played other Resident Evil games will be familiar with the game play. People who aren't, are use to Gears of War or other first person shooters and have extremely high expectations. This game isn't supposed to be a shooting fest. It's a survival horror game. The controls are an important aspect of the suspense in the game, changing it would be changing the game.

Well, if you all ever played RE4, you can actually walk+shoot. RE5, being a similar game to RE4 and not the traditional "birds eye view" game, for some reason, they took out the walk+shoot function....

Japanese people do not make EASY games that you beat through in 1 day.

I once spoke to the buyer for the electronics section at Zellers when I was looking for Fallout 3. I turned in my air miles for HBC gift cards specifically to buy that game.

He told me that Zellers won't carry an xbox game unless they can get a good enough deal to sell it for less than $60.

I don't necessarily trust what he said, but from what I can recall I've never seen an xbox game at Zellers for more than $60 unless it was a special game like GH.

Well you weren't playing RE4. I think Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 was the only RE game to do that, and the game sucked.

Has anyone ever bought a new release game at zellers? do they ever have it on release date or a day or two after?

I collect achievements more than trophies. But the thing is, I played RE4 on ps2 so I might get used to the controller. I download the demo on 360 and the controls was kinda weird for me and haven't download it on ps3 to test out the controls.

i went to 2 Zellers, one was out of MS points and didn't have Naruto. the second one, they had a notice about MS points (price error...) and no Naruto either
