(additionally, article notes that McDonald's across the street will also close to make room for another condo there...)
Island Foods is returning to the area, will launch a new restaurant just a few blocks north of the old one.

Island Foods' new location will be located at 8 Gladstone Ave. and is expected to open within the next week.

That's great news!
Also, I should update my older posting. Pet Valu has temporarily moved into the former Shoeless Joe's restaurant.
McDonald's is up the street where Longos can now be found, but no sign of Burger King anywhere, and I believe Quizno's is toast.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Wow one item here is a rip. Not in a “all restaurants are expensive” way. But even when speaking in relative terms.

This is still a fast casual place.

“ Fried Chicken Feast ($85) where a giant eight-piece bucket comes with a side of biscuits, coleslaw, pickles, fries, and gravy.”

8 piece meal is waaay too much even with those sides.

The Fry down the street does a large fried chicken for $37.99

This is an American video, but it still lists some restaurants we have here in Canada.

Good post.
But when is a restaurant never not struggling? Even in the good times, restaurants are such a high risk business.
Even something as simple as a rainy day can kill sales.

It's hard to answer that question.
Different types of struggle. There's debt and then there is Deep Debt.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
